Your Words Are Heard

“Then he said to me, ‘Do not be afraid, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to your words.’” Daniel 10:12

Daniel had a vision and had been fasting and praying for three weeks for wisdom and understanding before he ever received this response. Now, depending upon the prayer, three weeks may or may not seem like a long time to wait for an answer but the important thing to know is that God hears our every prayer and responds to our hearts every cry and furthermore, I believe that the Word tells us that He hears and responds immediately. In Daniels case the response was held up by spiritual warfare; sometimes the answer does not come to us right away because it is not yet according to God’s timetable and sometimes the answer that comes is just not the answer we would like for it to be but nevertheless He always hears and He always answers.

Throughout the years I’ve seen many an answered prayer, some within minutes while I still wait to receive answers to others. Has God forgotten? Never! His answer to every prayer will be received right on time.
