A Very Special Day

“This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24.

Today is Thursday. Other than the fact that the work week might be winding down for some today may not be a particularly special day. That is unless you’re celebrating a birthday (our Philly’s 11th is today) or anniversary. Then again, every day can be special when you remember to thank God for His plan and when you begin the day with great expectation for where His plan might lead. Take time today to celebrate the Lord and simply rejoice in Him. Today could be the day a long prayed prayer might be answered or a long dreamed dream might be fulfilled. This day is special because He made it and He has a plan for you today.

Psalm 118 begins with these words: “Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.” Count your blessings today; celebrate His goodness and His everlasting lovingkindness. Praise Him, give thanks and rejoice and be glad in this very special day.
