“It is by his deeds that a lad distinguishes himself if his conduct is pure and right.” Proverbs 20:11

Boys and girls as well as the young and old should take heed of this Proverb. There is really not a lot more that can be added to this except to say that our conduct speaks so much louder than words. How do you respond when you are reproved? Do you respond with respect or do you respond in denial and angry pride? How do you react when you receive too much change at the grocery store? How do you conduct yourself when you think no one is watching? Remember, as Christians we represent the Lord Jesus Christ and as our pure and right conduct distinguishes us it also brings Him honor!

One of the definitions of the word ‘distinguished’ in Webster’s Dictionary is to’ separate into kinds, classes or categories’; I’m afraid I’ve found over and over again that even conduct that is not pure and right is distinguishing; just not in a good way. I want to be placed in the category that is labeled His, how about you?
