Do You Believe This?

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?’” John 11:25-26

Even after serving the Lord for about thirty years I am still in awe of this simple truth from His Word. I believe this completely and pray today for unsaved loved ones who don’t yet know that He is the resurrection and the life and I look forward with great expectation to the day they experience the same sort of personal encounter with Him. On Easter Sunday in 2004 one of our grandsons, who was seven years old at the time was so pleased with himself that he had learned this verse. “Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life’”. He not only memorized the verse, he believes it and I rejoice in that! There is nothing more precious than seeing your loved ones come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Yes, He is the resurrection and the life and I am so thankful that He has made salvation, grace and life freely available to all who believe. Reveal Yourself to those who are in darkness, Lord Jesus, so they too can rejoice in Your resurrection and abundant life.
