The Truth Frees!

“If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

I am so thankful today for the freedom I enjoy in Christ! I am thankful for His Word that is truth and contains all the instructions needed for living freely in Him. I am thankful that He is sovereign over every situation, both those we face as individuals as well as the challenges facing our nation. Remember as you celebrate this day that God is on the throne no matter how dismal the economy might seem. Our God reigns and our freedom lies in knowing and living according to His truth.

On this day our nation celebrates Independence Day yet so many in our great nation are bound by sin and lies. Celebrate who you are in Christ today; abide in His word and thank Him for the freedom we enjoy because of the truth in that word!
