Wisdom From Above

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy.” James 3:17

Wisdom from above is really all the wisdom that we will ever need; just look at all the attributes; first, God’s wisdom is pure, unaffected by ‘what if’s’ and ‘if only’s’ and this wisdom always has our best and His glory in mind. Second, walking according to His wisdom and living according to the direction of the Holy Spirit naturally produces the fruit of peace and gentleness (as well as a few other things according to Galatians 5:22-23). Third, God’s wisdom is always reasonable and merciful; it never changes, is never hurtful and is always completely accurate no matter what the need! And last of all this wisdom from above is readily available to those who seek it. “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5

Wisdom in its purest and most reliable form is available in only one place but the good news is that this wisdom is accessible to anyone who is willing to sit at His feet, spend time in His presence and meditate on His Word.
