Constant Communication

“With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:18

There is only one way we can recognize the potential for trouble when it comes and respond to it according to God’s Word; we must be on the alert, praying at all times in the Spirit and allow Him to take our every thought, word and deed captive in order that we will bring honor and glory to Him no matter what we have to face today. We are at war with an enemy that is far more destructive than one ever faced on any battlefield and constant communication with our Commander in Chief is vital if we are to be victorious over that enemy of our soul. At all times stay alert, persevere and pray for one another; only then will our battle with the enemy be effective.

I used to wonder why life outside my prayer closet didn’t always seem to reflect the communication that went on inside it until one day the Holy Spirit gently told me that it did. That is when I realized that my prayer life was separate from other areas of my life and that was something that would have to change. Constant communication begins in the prayer closet but it mustn’t end there.
