The Perfect Hiding Place

“Thou art my hiding place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7

I love to play hide and seek our grandchildren. When they were smaller the younger ones would look right at the place where I was hiding and yet not see me at all and I suspect there have been many times that trouble has sought me but could not find me because I was so well preserved and surrounded by my Father. I’m thankful that I have such an incredible hiding place in Him and I love the mental picture I have of being surrounded by His songs of deliverance! God is able to preserve and deliver us from both the troubles that come at us unexpectedly as well as the trouble we bring on ourselves through sin if we will take the refuge He offers. Hide yourself in Him today and pray that any trouble that comes will see only Him and therefore will turn away.

Whatever comes your way today remember that He is your safe place to hide; let Him just surround you with His protection and His sweet songs of deliverance.
