Freedom!

“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

The only true freedom we can ever know is the freedom we have through Christ. When I thought I was free according to the world’s standards I was in bondage. When I submitted myself to Christ I became free and I am so thankful for that freedom that I enjoy continually in Him. It is the truth from God’s Word and the power of His Holy Spirit that keeps us from the bondage of sin and habits that would destroy our lives and our ministries. It is because of Christ that we are able to stand firm in the face of the enemy and his schemes to subject us to a yoke of slavery. "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36

Sadly, the world, and even some Christians, don’t know what freedom really is. Doing whatever you want to do whenever you want to do it isn’t freedom; its folly and folly inevitably leads to a yoke of slavery.
