“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16
I am so thankful that God knows and understands our weaknesses and that He desires to turn those weaknesses into strengths so that those very things that might cause us to sin will bring honor and glory to Him instead. I’m so thankful that His throne room is fully accessible to us and we can draw near with confidence anytime we need strengthening. Ask Him to pour out His grace and mercy upon you today and give Him your weaknesses in exchange for His strength.
Our high priest is fully God yet was fully human when he walked this earth and shared our human experiences, including temptation so He is fully able to sympathize with our weaknesses. His human experience did not include sin though; that He took upon Himself when He died on the cross so that we could have direct access to the throne of grace any time we are tempted, day or night.
