Who is Watching, Part 2

“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world.” I Peter 5:8-9

Someone else is watching us very closely and this one is particularly interested in the ones who call themselves His. I’ve found the hard way that I need to ask God daily for the strength to resist the devil. I will absolutely dig my heals in as I stand firm in my faith because I have committed my heart to Him completely but I find that the devil delights in blindsiding me at the most inconvenient moments and in the most unexpected ways. That is why we must always wear our full armor and keep our shield of faith at the ready. Be aware of any unprotected areas that might be vulnerable to those flaming arrows and be of sober spirit and on the alert!

God is not the only one watching. If we let our guard down we are liable to be gobbled up by our adversary. While our Father looks for a heart that is completely His in order to support and bless the enemy is on the prowl for someone who he can devour! Who will see you?
