Take Heed and Be Ready

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 1:3

I truly believe that God wants His children to be as informed as possible concerning His ways and His plan. He made it possible for us to see His creativity by speaking to Moses about what happened at the beginning of time. He gave clear rules for us to follow so that we might know what He deems just and acceptable as we live our daily lives. He certainly doesn’t want us to be uninformed about the things that please Him nor did He ever intend to surprise us with dire consequences when we act foolishly. He has given us all the information we need to have concerning the end times as well; we are to read and hear the Word and live according to it because with every passing day that time is nearer than the day before.

I’ve often said that none of us are guaranteed the next five minutes, let alone tomorrow. If we live according to God’s Word and the information He has given us in it we can make the most of today and we can be ready to face tomorrow, no matter what it brings
