Useless ‘Wisdom’

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, ‘He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS’; and again, ‘THE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS.’” 1 Corinthians 3:19-20

I, for one, certainly know by now that I am far better off to trust the Lord than to try to lean on the wisdom of the world when I have a need or a problem. I know from experience that I am incapable of reasoning my way out of most dilemmas because without His help my reasoning’s are completely useless; in fact without God’s help my entire thought process can be downright destructive. The only solid reasoning’s are found through prayer and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit and most all of the time God’s wisdom if far, far different from that of the world.

Just look at the world’s wisdom when it comes to dealing with financial difficulties, marital problems and teen pregnancy, just to name a few; most of those solutions lead to shear folly and prove useless, often leading to even more calamity in the end.
