We Are His Children

“See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” 1 John 3:1

It is such a privilege to be one of God’s children and I am so blessed to call Him my Father! His perfect love is truly all that any of us needs and we can be secure in His love no matter what the world throws our way. As His children we no longer need the world’s approval (in fact I kind of like the idea of being a bit of an alien in this world). What saddens me is that so many precious loved ones do not know that privilege and because they don’t know Him fellowship with them is not all it could be. Truly, it seems that they don’t know us because they don’t know Him and I pray that God would use me today so that others, my loved ones and yours, might realize how great a love He has for them.

To be called His child is such a wonderful privilege. To know that He loves us is such a blessing; don’t you wish that everyone knew it?
