Meditate and Act Accordingly

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.” Joshua 1:8

Do you actively strive to remember God’s Word and apply it to every situation you encounter? God’s Word should be our standard for dealing with every circumstance we ever face from the simplest conversations to dealing with life’s most serious problems. His Word teaches us to be quiet and listen when that is what is called for. The Word instructs us to love others and when speaking out is necessary it reminds us that a gentle answer turns away wrath. The Word tells us what pleases our Father and what brings honor and glory to Him; everything we need for righteous living is contained there. Meditate on God’s Word and pray that it will take deep root within your heart. This is the Word of God alive and active within us - meditating on it and doing what it says. Within this book of the law are the keys to prosperity and successful living.

I pray daily that everything I do would line up with God’s Word and His will and that every decision I might be called upon to make would line up with the Word. How I hope I am always careful to do according to all that is written in it.
