Transform and Renew

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Do you sometimes forget, as I do, that you were meant to be in this world and not of it? I know that I have to seek God every day for the transformation that I need and for the necessary renewal of my mind so that I might be better able to discern His will; that which is good and acceptable and perfect and that I might respond to all that I face with the mind of Christ. That most important daily renewal of the mind is absolutely critical if we are going to hear His voice, walk in His ordered steps and bring honor and glory to Him in all we do. Without daily time with the Lord we risk being of this world without even realizing we’ve done so until after the fact.

I’m so easily distracted by the world that I often find myself conforming before I’ve even realized it; especially if I haven’t taken the time for daily renewal of my heart and mind. Have you renewed your mind today?
