An Open Door

“I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you and open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.” Revelation 3:8

Are you standing at the threshold of an open door today? I pray that I am able to recognize any door that the Lord might open for me and then I pray for the strength and desire to go through that door. It is only through the empowering of the Holy Spirit that any of us are able to keep His word and meet the challenges that might be encountered when we approach those doors. He knows exactly what we can handle when He opens a door, whether we think we can handle it or not, so trust Him today with your open doors, ask Him for the confidence to go through them and look forward with great expectation to wherever those doors may lead.

Next to this verse in the margin of my bible I have written ‘open doors come with problems’ (no doubt a quote from Pastor Holder.) Going through an open door does require leaving one area behind and entering into another - that’s the whole point. Going into a new place can be challenging, even frightening but there are also incredible blessings and opportunities just beyond the threshold!
