Only Jesus Satisfies

“He who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor he who loves abundance with its income. This too is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 5:10

I believe this precept is being played out before us at this very moment. Just take a look at the economy and the staggering problem of credit card debt that has become a stronghold for many in our society today. Countless individuals and businesses alike are struggling, the stock market, where many have invested for their future, is precarious. Bankruptcies and foreclosure are at a record high and I’m afraid that the root of many of these problems is simply a lack of self control, or if I might be so bold as to say it; greed. Money and the things it can buy will never satisfy us, only Jesus satisfies.

That is just the nature of things; the more you have of them the less satisfying they are. The nature of Jesus is this; the more you have of Him the more satisfied you become. Only Jesus satisfies and He satisfies completely!
