“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16
Several years ago I wrote a Bible study for our ladies on our walk with the Lord. In the process I learned a thing or two. Enoch walked with God. Not only did his walk please God, He must have enjoyed the company so much that one day He just took Enoch on to His house. Abram was told to “walk before (the Lord) and be blameless”, Genesis 17:1, after he’d taken matters into his own hands with Hagar. You see, God had a very specific plan for Abram and He wanted him to know He’d be keeping an eye on him from now on, after all others were watching too. Some have been instructed to walk after the Lord, putting their feet only where His feet have gone and following His example to the letter. Obviously our walk is very important in the context that others are watching but I believe this verse is also telling us that as we walk we must remember to keep focused on God’s plan and His calling for our own lives because missteps not only send us in the wrong direction they waste time.
No matter whether you’re called to walk with, before, or after the Lord do so with all diligence and wisdom and make every step count because time is precious in these evil last days.
