For He Rescued Us!

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” Colossians 1:13-15

In our Lord’s glorious might He rescued us, and did whatever needed to be done to get us out of that dark place into the glorious light; the kingdom of His beloved Son. We’re redeemed and forgiven to be sure and through this act of love for us we also have the promise of eternity to spend with Him. What all He has done for those He loves never ceases to amaze and awe me. Don’t you just want to sing His praises today for the lengths He went to rescue you and your loved ones?

I pray that I would never take my salvation for granted and it is just such verses as these that cause me to remember where it was that I came from and where I am now; rescued, transferred to His kingdom, redeemed and forgiven!
