Keep Sowing!

"But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance.” Luke 8:15

Sown seeds can end up in all kinds of places; some seed is gobbled up by the birds before it even has a chance to sprout, others seeds are sown in poor soil or are choked out by weeds. Does a farmer or a gardener stop sowing because he realizes not all the seeds turn into productive plants? Of course not! He doesn’t stop planting because the fruit of his labor makes all the hard work worthwhile. The same is true of the gospel. We are called to go into the world, preaching the gospel at all times, sowing seed not just through our words but by our actions; people are watching and some of your sown seed is going to eventually wind up in good soil. Some of your seed will end up in honest good hearts who will hold it fast, produce fruit and then sow seeds of their own one day.

Good seed in good soil produces good fruit which in turn produces more good seed which will eventually land in good soil and produce yet more good fruit so whatever you do keep sowing!
