Surround Me. O Lord

“Those who trust in the Lord are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.” Psalm 125:1-2

Aren’t you grateful today that there is someone you can always count on to surround you with love and protection always and forever? I certainly pray that I would never forget that the Lord is with me and that He surrounds me as my shield, my provider, my strength and my peace. He’s our redeemer, our healer, our fortress and shelter from the storm and our righteousness. He’s the source of everything we have need of today. Place your trust and confidence in Him and know that He surrounds His people as surely as the mountains surround Jerusalem.

A very special friend gave me this verse several years ago. At the time I didn’t know why she felt impressed to share it with me but it has been a source of comfort and assurance to me many times since that day. Be assured that the Lord surrounds ‘THOSE WHO trust in, lean on, and confidently hope in (Him)…’ (The Amplified Bible) More sure than any fortress He surrounds His people from this time forth and forever.
