Not Sent to Judge

“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.” John 3:17

I often ask the Lord to deliver my unsaved loved ones from any habits, desires or strongholds that are preventing them from accepting His unconditional love and forgiveness. In praying this prayer I have recently come to realize that many times those bad habits and desires create a mindset that convinces us, with Satan’s help, that we’re just not good enough for Him and won’t be until we give up those destructive habits. (Something that is usually impossible without His help). Perhaps those feelings of unworthiness create one of the most formidable strongholds lost individuals have to face. As you pray for your loved ones today pray that the stronghold of self-condemnation would come tumbling down as they come to realize that He didn’t come into world to judge them but to love them. Let them know that not only does God love them, He accepts them just as they are and let Him do the rest.

We often tend to judge ourselves much more severely than He does. Anyone who thinks they’re not good enough, pure enough or clean enough for Him has put the cart way ahead of the horse.
