Live Sensibly

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus; who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.” Titus 2:11-14

We can surely all be thankful for God’s amazing grace and our salvation as well as the instructions He’s provided in His Word for godly living and the help of the Holy Spirit to follow those instructions. Through His grace we are empowered to deny ungodliness and set aside worldly desires and to live sensibly and righteously before everyone we encounter today. While we are in this present age we strive to live the way He has called us to and we hope to bring honor and glory to Him as we look forward to eternity with Him and to the appearing of the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray today and everyday that He would purify me and give me passion and zeal for all that He has called me to, both the works and sensible, godly behavior.

He may not have called all His people into formal ministry but He has called us all to live sensible, pure and holy lives before Him and before others.
