“For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?” Matthew 6:25-26
Do you need an occasional reminder that God is more than able to provide for your every need? I’m afraid I’m one who needs to be reminded somewhat regularly. I want to obey His Word in regard to worry but often find myself slipping into old patterns of wondering just how every need will be met. God’s Word says that He will provide the basics; food, water and clothing and I believe that He wants to provide for every other area of our lives as well. So today I pray that He will meet every need from the roof to the foundation of our home, our going out and our coming in, the salvation, healing and deliverance of our loved ones and beyond. I pray that He will bless our ministries and our relationships and instead of being anxious today I have determined that I will entrust my every need and my every desire into His hands. What will you do today, will you worry or will you trust?
When we worry about how our needs are going to be met we are really just being disobedient to God’s word. Do you trust Him to meet your needs and to fulfill the desires of your heart? Entrust those needs and desires to Him today and once you’ve given them over to Him stop worrying.
