True Riches

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-7

Yesterday’s Daily Moment was about our inability to serve two masters. Today let’s look at real wealth and if you’ll allow me to I’d like to ask ‘Where are your riches?’ Are they in His grace, His mercy, and in His great love? After all, as believers we’ve been seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, the absolute best place to be! With that knowledge do we really have any business complaining when things don’t go our way? We are so blessed! I surely know that He has shown me the surpassing riches of His grace time and time again. What more could we ever need? What more could any of us ever want that would be any more valuable than our standing with Him?

I’m not sure that I even begin to grasp what it means to be seated in heavenly places in Christ but I do know one thing, because our Heavenly Father loved us so much He spared no expense so that we could be seated there!
