“Let him who steals steal no longer; but rather let him labor performing with his own hands what is good, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.” Ephesians 4:28

I’ve been blessed with so much and I sincerely hope that I will always be mindful of that fact. We’re healthy, our children and grandchildren are healthy and God has provided more than abundantly for every need. We are also blessed with jobs we enjoy in places where both my husband and I feel we are being used of the Lord. Have you ever considered that the reason why we work is not just to receive a salary in order to add to our own collections but also to be able to share what we receive with others? This mandate from God’s Word goes beyond the paying of tithes; we are called to be genuinely concerned with the needs of others. Ask Him to help you to see things from a givers perspective and in accordance with His abundance and the blessings He has so lavishly poured out.

When I look around me I can’t believe how lavishly I live in comparison to so much of the world. What a privilege it is to be able to share what God has blessed us with.
