Kept in Perfect Peace

“The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3

Do you need peace today? There is a peace that surpasses all understanding and this verse tells us exactly how it can be obtained. We must keep our minds and hearts absolutely steadfast; fixed upon Him so that we might experience that perfect peace no matter what the day might have in store. Will you trust God today to order your steps and to work in the lives of dear loved ones as they work out their own salvation according to His plan for their lives? Will you trust Him to provide for your every need according to His riches in glory and to guide every decision you must make today with the mind of Christ? Do you determine to fix your mind on Him today and to trust in Him, not in your own way of working things out? If you maintain your focus and trust in Him you can thank Him now for that perfect peace that will come as a result.

Often I will pray for a steadfast mind and before I come out of my prayer closet my mind is already at work trying to solve the day’s problems on my own. However, on those occasions that I have actually fixed my mind firmly on the Lord I have experienced incredible peace even in the most difficult of circumstances. Funny how that works exactly like the word says it will; a mind set on Him equals perfect peace!
