Angels

“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.” Hebrews 13:2

Wouldn’t it be awesome to entertain an angel? Wouldn’t it be even better to truly meet the need of someone who is lost or hurting? Ask God to order your steps today, and to help you recognize opportunities to meet the needs of others. We can make a difference in the lives of others if we are willing to give of ourselves and sometimes it doesn’t take more than a kind word or a friendly smile. Be an example of patience, love and Christlikeness to all you encounter today and strive to put others first. Treat everyone you meet today as though they were angels and see just how much you’ll be blessed in turn.

During the holiday season it often seems that I am more hurried than usual, making my own plans and becoming annoyed when my plans take a detour. There is no better time than during the season of hustle and bustle ( as well as the season when we sing of angels) for me to be reminded that I might have eternal impact on the very ones who might derail me for a moment and in that very derailment I might also be blessed beyond measure!
