Unchanging Love

“Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes over the rebellious act of the remnant of His possession? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in unchanging love.” Micah 7:18

One of the many attributes of God that keeps me in absolute awe is His unchanging love. I am certainly awed by His mercy, grace and forgiveness of sin but that unchanging love, no matter how undeserving we might be, is what sets His perfect agape love apart from all the other loves that we will ever know. He pardons iniquity and his love for the sinner never changes. His anger, that doesn’t remain even in the face of the most blatant rebellion, won’t ever change His perfect love for His children. In fact, the Word says He delights in unchanging love. How I pray that I would delight in my love for Him today above all else!

Throughout the ages God remains the same; yesterday, today and forever. His mercy never changes, He does not retain His anger and He delights in loving His creation, no matter now unlovable we might be; how truly awesome! Will you delight in Him today?
